  • UFC Couture vs. Sylvia

Just watched the UFC matches, 3/3/07. What a suprise the Randy Couture Tim Sylvia match was. I expected Randy to dominate once the fight went to the ground, which it did often but for Randy to dominate the stand up was a total suprise. It was total domination for 5 rounds.
My son has resumed his Ju Jitsu training and one of the students from his school in Tampa is going to be on the next session of the UFC tv show. I will have to find out his name. They are sworn to secrecy, big fines for any infractions, and cannot reveal any of the results before they are aired.

That was an awesome fight. I could not believe how dominant Randy was throughout the whole fight. He just picked Tim apart from the first punch on. It was good to see Rich back in there banging again too. He looked more like his old self than he did in the Sylva fight. Matt looked good, looked like he went back to his old style. I was pretty surprised he didn't get a submission though. Then again, Lytle had never been submitted before, so that says something for his defensive ability. The whole fight card was awesome. I've never seen that many big names on a card in one night in the UFC. It will be interesting to see who Randy's first challenger is. If it is Mirko Cro Cop, then he may have his hands full, but then again....that is what people were saying about this fight. You definitely can't count "The Natural" out.
