Hmmmm...I can't argue that the Japanese build great cars. I applaud their gain for the last decade or so. But GM will come back...heck, look at what they are building now. I give it 3-5 more years and GM will be back on top. They've got a lot of momentum going with their new products...it's tough to sell against Honda when they are right next door, but I do it with style. I get a lot of looks and crap because I sell Chevy's and own an f-body...it burns my blood sometimes. My Dad told me this years years ago..."Son, you're an American, drive American cars."

Consumer Reports always picks the perfect cars for people who don't like cars or treat them like appliances.

My family has usually had GM cars as Father showed son how to work on them. One thing GM will not win on is their competition is playing with a stacked lineup. GM and other Historically domestic car companies (Toyota as of yesterday was called domestic @ cnn's buisness news website ) have health care for their employees while the imports don't pay it. To make matter worse The Democrans/Republicrats back in Clintons days, Eliminated the tariffs for importing such cars/car parts, known as free-trade agreements that unbalanced the old trade equation, Giving deliberate advantage to overseas companies, so as Companies can go global, making use of cheapest labor in the world without any financial restrictions.

This may not appear related to the Domestics being looked over by consumer reports, but believe me, this is a side effect of more complex problems our elected politicians put in place, years ago (Bilderberg society - the ultra rich don't just gather together for nothing).

To put it short, once you look into the issue, why consumer reports picks the imports all the time, you realize another issue, and get sucked into a more and more complex issues. Not easy times ahead for our domestics, but I'll continue to support them, as in a time of war, who do you think manufactures our victories . We're in for a bumpy ride so hold on tight!

Consumer Reports is corrupt. I remember that scandal they had back in the early 90's. Nothing ever came out of it, but there was evidence of Toyota greasing their palms for good write-ups.

I know.... I know... I'm one to talk. I drive an Acura. Still... I don't look at cars like I used to. I look at what is the best car for me in regards to price range and car class.

The Aura is beautiful. My wife and I test drove it and fell in love. She needed more space unfortunately (3 kids). In a year or two, she may have an Aura anyway.
