Who's sick this week?

Seems like a lot of forum members are sick this week...I know I am. I'm basically coughing up my lungs to a beat of 103* fever and hot flashes.

Not me. I had it about 6 weeks ago. It kicked my butt. I ran a fever for 8 straight days. I've never done more than 2 that I can remember.

No kidding...after this front moves out of here, it's gorgeous weather for the weekend. Maybe I workout hard tonight I can sweat the fever out...

I had the flu with a temp of 102. I'm at about 75% now. The entire university here is getting sick.

Yeah, same here. This was a few months ago. I've never been so bad off. I couldn't get out of bed for about 12 days, my fever was thru the roof everyday and wouldn't let up. My throat was swollen so bad it looked like I had golf balls in my throat. Couldn't eat, couldn't swallow. I had no clue what was going on around me, but I remember my mom taking care of me and finally making me get up to shower because my sheets were yellow from so much sweat and stuff. I never poured so much sweat in my life, that was the worst 2 weeks of sickness I've ever had.

I just got over being sick

And i hardly ever do get sick, but ill tell you what i always get kanker sores in my mouth, and those things hurt. Anyone else?

its just as bad as being sick, you cant eat, you talk with a lisp lol.

I was in my death bed about 3 weeks ago with a 105 fever. I was on antibiotics. Turned out I had a secondary infection.

I had the perfect storm of illness about six weeks ago... The flu, strep throat, and a sinus infection. I was down and out for over a week.

I never want to feel like that again.

So I feel lots better today...like 85%, but now I lost my voice!

And yes Hot Flashes...I'd be cold but get insanely hot for a few seconds...I think those are hot flashes...and no, it's not menopause! LOL!!!

It's your body fighting off the fever... At least that's what my doctor told me.

Two words: Flu Shot!

I get the flu shot every year and haven't had the flu since I was a kid.

The measley $20 a year is well worth it.

And . . . no, you cannot get sick from the shot itself. That's a myth.

My mom got sick from the flu shot. They said it's rare but it does happen. She always gets the flu shot and it seam like she get it every year anyway.
