i no tire expert and suggest you take Ken s advice, but my alfa 166 came with a brand new set of federal tires on it, i was a bit dissapointed to see that, but they were ok so far, no wobbles or anything and the pattern looks quite nice, just that they wear out pretty quick, and i dont trust the grip as i do on the other alfa with goodyears. It says budget tires on the invoice, cheap too.
If they werent brand new i would have replaced them for goodyear gsd-3 s, or michelins, firestone . by the way i really liked the grip the michelin pilot hxv had on my old audi a6
I really love the new Dunlop Direzza 101's I put on my TL. I got them for under $100 each (including mounting/balancing). Incredible grip in both wet and dry conditions, and they ride real nice for a performance tire.
