  • They are closing my store!!!

So let me start, walgreens bought out Happy Harry's about a year ago. At which time my store was going to be relocated right down the road (brand new store) So the store was already being built, but walgreens wanted the store to be done under walgreens specs and not happy harry's specs. So they tore it down and started over. So the new store is barely started and our lease is running out. The land lord already has a signed lease and we can't extend ours. Now they have to close our store and transfer everyone somewhere else. Of course the store they are sending me too is in shambles and i need to start training people.

This is just what i want, to fix a store that i won't be at for more then 6 months

    Sorry guys, needed to vent.

Well that's Corporate America for you. It sucks but look at the bright side, you still have your job.

There are so many variables that can affect one's job these days. Look at it this way... Maybe since you're rolling with the punches and training people, that will be looked at by the right people and you'll get a promotion and/or raise.

Sometimes things that start out looking bad, turn out to be one of the better things that could have happened.

Well i hope you're right, they did say they would send me to the new store when it finally opens...and on the bright side my comute just shortened by about 10 miles each way.

Oh and on a side note, i took my national certification exam last monday...should find out the results friday. Wish me luck!!!
