welp we just got back from the dirt track. im part of a race team (Bandit Motorsports) and we had our frist debute tonight. we are running the pure stock class. it was kind a eventful night. after we figured out the light issue on the trailer(bad fuse 
) we get the car loaded up, get to the track and the car wont run, then we relized it was a wire not hooked up(HEI in cap coil set-up) it started but wouldnt run in gear. we got it to run just enough in gear to get to the pits. we get to the pits and we are tinkering with the car and the 9 time points champ comes over, we explain whats going on, so he goes, let me have a stab at it, so he strips the carb down and its loaded up with junk and we found out it had a fuel filter in the carb that was pluged. so new fuel filter, the guy clean and rebuilt the carb and we got it to run like a kitten right be4 we ahd to go to the starting gird. it was a 8 lap heat. we didnt do 2 bad, Tom the driver, was his frist time out. out of 12 cars we got 9th, the car was great in turns 1/2 but 3/4 was loose(spun out once, missed the wall by 2") and the front end felt like it was lifting. we go to load the car up and it wont start again. now we dont have spark. turns out we cooked the dizzy as soon as it was parked! but it was a good debut for Bandit Motorsports. we still gotta finish the other car. so hopefully a few changes and we can get the 71p(Toms car) to handle better in 3/4 and stop the floating feeling in the front on the str8s
