mustang torque

I workout at the gym with some stang dudes,the were talkinmess about F-body's and I told them that there car only has 215hp(3 of them all have 95's) and mine has 275 hp,60 hp differnece,then they startin sayin thats true but there mustang's( 95 5.0s) and all mustang's have way more torq the F bod's and thats why there so fast with less hp )is this true

I call BS. LT1's have more torque than HP. They have a lot of low end torque. The 5.0's or the 4.6 have Less torque. Its a smaller engine. As they Say, "There is no replacement for displacement!" Its like, look at the S2000. It has 240 bhp @ 8300 rpm yet only 153.0 ft lbs @ 7500 rpm. Its True the Mustangs have a lot more Torque than HP but not that much. lets compare.

I'm with Ken on this one. That's pretty funny.

Those year mustangs didn't have that much torque. They are talkin about and LT1 car which is known for having a lot of torque. Sounds like they are just idiots.

torque is what normally takes the race..

a good friend of mine as a 1990 5.slow box body mudstain and its kind of fast i guess.

hes gotta few more goodies under the hood then i do so i can keep up with him till about 80 or 90 and then my car dosent have enough horsepower to keep that torque rolling

Cant beat the ol Push rod Engines ha ha ha. That's why its amazing that the C6 ZO6 is 500hp NA with one single Cam. Truly a marvel of engineering. Ford Cant do that with 2 or 4 cams and a blower. ha ha ha. And yet the Rustang boys are the biggest S talkers. Its sad. Them and SRT-4/WRX drivers. So sad.

I know exactly what your saying...my buddy with is '90 5.0 is the same way...

If we play around on the highway while were going somewhere and im beating him....when we get to the place were going he always gets out and pops the hood like somethings wrong.

Like last time it was "I think i have a leak in my intake somewhere cuz it wasnt sucking me back into my seat like it normally does"

I honestly dont have a problem with mustangs for the most part but theres just far too many on the road and the most of the people who drive them really really need to shut up sometimes.

Wouldnt you get better air flow if you have a leak? ha ha ha. (unles its blown)

Yeah I used to be able to pull on stangs left and right in my Old Honda, and same thing, "Something is wrong its the ignition," or something stupid.

I just go ahead and tell them, Its a ford thats whats wrong..

Its funny but Stang drivers have the biggest mouths of all types of racers. Even worse that the import boys.
