  • Howdy from Ventura, CA

Flew out on Thursday, July 5th. I'm out here for ~2 weeks for my brothers wedding on the 14th, in Thousand Oaks, and visiting relatives/vactaion. So far a lot more F-bodies than Rhode Island . Of all things I rented a Mustang Convertible. I tell you what the ergonomics in that thing downright suck. My Knees get hit on the left and right. No doubt I'm Keeping my hawk over any mustang that's out right now. My goal is to bring back a tan as one in New England is rare
Rhode Island Red *Lurker since 1997*

Hey I'm on vacation too! I traveled down to Virginia beach for a week. We rented a Pacifica. It isn't that bad, very roomy and comfortable. But VA just sucks! I was in Staunton VA and came across the bottom of the earth. Everyone is just so rude and prickish down there. Hope you're having a blast in CA! I've seen more F-bodies here than in Pittsbugh for sure.

Ventura? Your just North of me. Today the weather is kinda Crappy. Its like In the 70's but better than the 100's we have had the last couple days. You have to make your way down here to the LA area. You should hit up the coast. Go to Like Santa Monica and go to Hollywood and maybe Venice beach and see all the freaks that So Cal is famous for. If you need pointers as to what places are good to visit let me know. I know all the great spots here.
Take the 101 south and you go all through Hollywood. Get off on Sunset or Hollywood Blvd so you can see eveyrthing out there. Its about an hour drive but well worth it.

What a week. I am sitting on a second story deck over looking the beach on Cape San Blas in Florida. I've been hearing F15s from Tyndol all morning playing out over the gulf.

BTW on the way here I saw a jacked up late 70s trans am with mud tires on it. Just wrong.

Did it have Georgia plates on it? My ex boss use to say "the only thing wrong with Atlanta is it is surrounded by Georgia".

Lol no offense meant. Yea I know, Florida, the eastern home of fruits and nuts. Where we don't know how to punch a ballot, brain dead people can't die in peace, and it's mandatory to drive the interstate in the left lane at 45 with your blinker on.

I am having a blast down here in VA beach. We are very close to Langley AFB here. I've seen F-22 Raptors and F-15 Eagles every 15 minutes. Not to mention Navy and Coast Guard Blackhawks. However, it is difficult to see a difference between and F-15 and an F-22 from below. You gotta look closely at the nose. F-22 has a shorter one.

Well did you make the guy an offer on much he wanted for it. If you get it you can not bring it out to Carroll County.

Why? It would be right at home out there.
