  • Yet another Zaino thread....

Am getting ready to purchase some Zaino. Was wondering if the package here on the Canadian website is a good place to start?

    http://www.zaino.ca/kit2.html.

I would like to mainly work on the swirlmarks on my TA and make it shine.

Anything else recommended or needed besides that kit?

Are the swirls deep? If so you should get a bottle of fusion.

But that kit should be dandy...It's basically what I use. You might want to grab a bottle of Z8 Grand Finale Spray Seal. It'll really make black pop.

that should do it.... but fusion is the ticket for swirls..and if they are bad.. a Porter Cable orbital buffer will save you mucho time..... ive never used it on my goat..dont need to ..but used it on the Envoy...works awesome.

Well I don't know how bad is bad. I had the car painted and then right after the dreaded intake leak happened. On top of it they replaced the head gaskets since one had a small leak. After all the work was done, the front end looked pretty scuffed up even though they had some protection over it. They buffed the front end and also wind and weather didn't help and now it shows some swirlmarks.

So what is Fusion and how to apply it?

It's a semi/light abrasive...it'll take come clear off, but that's how you get rid of the swirls. I used it on my front end, spoiler and rear end...works wonders, just protect it with a couple coats of Z5/Z2. You'd apply it the same way you'd apply every other product, just apply (up and down, not in circular motion), wipe (in the same direction) and buff.

Thanks Christopher. So based on Ken's reply you could even use a buffer with the Fusion? Not that I'm planing on it.

porter cable orbital..not just "any buffer'.... the porter cable is very user friendly, hard to screw up the clear with it.
