1997 30th Anniversary Formula?

Ok, I'm going to throw this out here in hopes that somebody can shed some light on it. I haven't really seen any discussion about it and can't find any info. My 1997 Formula has a decal that surrounds the Firebird emblem on the front bumper that says 30th Anniversary. I was once told the decal was added at the dealership and it's nothing special, but I really don't consider the source reliable. I've seen write ups on other anniversary editions but nothing on a 97 Formula. Is this just something somebody slapped on there or is there something special about it? The decal is badly faded and the bumper needs some work, I'm considering having the bumper repainted and if this decal means something I'll go out of my way to find another one. If not, it's just going to be painted over. Some reliable feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No I don't think it was added at the dealership. You can by the decal on ebay.

1997 was 30th for Camaro but Firebird?

1999 was the white/blue 30 anni TA so, 1997 would be 28? The Camaro came out in 67'...so 1997 would indeed be for Camaros.

I just realized...Firebirds came debuted in 1967...so yeah! Trans Ams debuted in 1969...so, there you go. I've never seen a 30 Anni Firebird/Formula...on TAs.
