    I normally dont post stuff like this, or condone it..

    but this is just unreal. its in Czechoslovakia, its a Golden Eagle...trained and used for hunting...

    tough to watch... but i guess its because its a small breed of deer, which most of us say "its cute"...had the prey been a rat..we'd sit back with a beer and chips...

    amazing power of this bird. watch what it does with its wings to stabilize the prey, you can hear the guy yell a command in background...so the bird does not rip it up. it appears to be though that the deer was held and released...right before that... that suks.

    it just amazing the power of this eagle.

    holy crap, that was incredible. i can't believe that eagle was able to do that.

        in their natural "state of mind"..they would'nt, they would pick on smaller prey, but it shows you the power of that bird.... ie: small kids, dogs, etc. scary.

            the wolf thing is a myth... on rare occassions, the golden eagle has been known to take down a wounded dying wolf or even cougar.. but only the very week. that vid was a little overdone.. if you google the golden eagle, there is some very good info on it. its quite a bird no doubt.

              Yeah man, those talons can rip you to shreds. Once they hook you, there is no getting out of them, their muscles can lock with the talons in the closed position. It would take a full sized man with both hands to pry ONE of the four on one foot loose.
