I love my Z- I always had this bad feeling about the Camaros and Firebirds, like they were 'show-off' cars for guys with insecure manhood- too loud and gaudy-
Then GM put the LS1 in them, with power-assist rack and pinion, four wheel disc brakes. Suddenly they are a legitamate performance car, corvette parts for a fraction of the price. I knew I needed to get one.
I am not a fan of uni-body, but SFC's fixed that. V-8, RWD, what's not to love? The car is a beast stock, and I will continue to slowly 'improve' it. Low, wide, pretty sexy looking- looks like it is just ready to pounce on whatever drives by. You can understand why the cops look at them and just figure that, if you aren't speeding now, you are planning to....2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress
