Transformers (Movie)- I got annoyed

Well I finally went out to go see it and Damn was it a great movie. Effect were great and everything. The one thing that was funny and I dont know got me some what annoyed was that when the New Camaro came rolling into the shot, Everyone was all "OMG" and the Hell yeahs and all those kids all excited. The thing that bugged me is 95% dont know much about the history,Performance of older model Gens. Like anything about the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gens. Most can care less but b/c this is a new car and its going to be a huge release, everyone is all of a sudden a motor head. I found the Semi to be more interesting. ha ha ha ha. I dont know maybe it was just a pet-peeve I have but oh well.

I went with one of my Female friends and shes not into hat kind of thing at all and she loved it. That Freeway seen was awesome.

The director is a huge GM fan, he included all those GM's in the movie free of charge to GM. GM only has to pay if they use transformers in their commercials.

Bugs me too that most of these youngens won't know what took place the amount of anguish we had to endure for that past 5 years; longer by the time Camaro debutes...the oooos and ahhhhs are what GM is looking for. They want the buzz. The new Camaro is gonna light the fire back under Cheverolet and GM and they need it bad. To GM, while paying homage to the older gens is great and all, it all boils down to money. They want this car to be the biggest thing to happen...it will and hopefully new buyers will want to understand the history behind the car and its place in automotive history.

What you've said can be said about all the previous generations...well, except for the first.

Yup. My guess would be GM gave a number of cars to the director to put in the movie. Its just like the Matrix. GM sponsored the cars that's why they were mostly GM.

yeah i remember that part of the movie. ha ha. GM does that a lot. just like when Opera gave away all those G6's. its all advertisment.

Not to worry...the new car will spark some curiosity and have some of them going back to read about the history. That's what happened to me when I got my first Camaro.

I went... LOVED IT!! I made my roommate go with me... completely under protest by her and we were the ONLY girls in there without guys!! It was hilarious... I agree with y'all about people who don't understand, all of a sudden LOVING them... pisses me off... What gets to me the most is that I have been wanting/saving up to get a new Camaro when it comes out and I think I've just about decided not to... The way I see it I'll just end up having a car like everyone else and that's the whole reason I got into f-bodies in the first place because it was something 1)not a lot of girls were in to and 2)you don't see too many people driving them... I have a feeling it's going to be like the Mustang craze... that EVERYONE who is anyone is going to have the new Camaro... and what's really gonna fuel my fire is when I've been saving up for what will be 3-4 years and for longer than that when it finally comes out and some 16 year old on that stupid show "My Super Sweet 16" or whatever the heck it is gets one because they whined enough!!! Have y'all seen that show... piss anyone else off??? There's no way on this God given grassy green earth I would still be alive if I acted like some of those kids do to my parents EVEN TODAY and I'm 23!

That's Generation Y for the most part. Obviously, there are exceptions... But it paints an ugly picture.

I'm going to look long and hard at the Challenger when it comes out.

Yup..but that's what GM wants a car that sells. It's like the G35 coupe and 350Z, everyone has one, but it's business and it's those cars that got Nissan out of the rut it was in.

I can't stand that show...I want to slap those kids and tell them to wake up and smell the real world, no pun intended. MTV is wasting the minds of the people that watches that crap!
