In today's world, it's becoming more common to reach an age like that and still have sound mind and body.

I'd sign up for 94 right now.

          Congrats to Mary's dad!

When Social Security was first conceived in 1935 people were not expected to live much past 65. Seems we've come a long way in one lifetime. In 1900 the life expectancy in the US at birth was 47.3. In 2004 the life expectancy at birth in the US rose to 77.8 and increases exponentially as we age. In other words, the older you get, the better your odds are at beating the odds. (My life expectancy at my current age of 51 is 80.5. I got a bonus 2.7 years for making it to 51!). At that rate in 100 years most people in the US will be expected to live well into their hundreds and most of them will live in Florida, God help me!!

Congrats, family is so important. I hope he makes it another 94 years!

I used to smoke 2 or 3 cigarettes a day. I kept a pack in my desk drawer at work. A few months ago, I just stopped. I still smoke the occasional smoke I bum off a friend, but not all that often anymore.

I'd say you're pretty safe smoking 4 a day. I hope you live a long healthy life, you are our favorite moderator! We need ya!
