Yup, the guy who directed The Bourne Identity & Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Doug Liman, is going to make a 2 hour pilot episode. The concept is inspired from the 80's show with the new transformers movie edge . They expect it to be picked up by the networks as a full fledged series

As a kid it was a cool car, action series, the plots kinda sucked looking back at it now as an adult, but in the end that suckiness really didn't matter. I hope it inspires another generation of car nuts

A few of us here in New England met this week to start the New England Firebird Auto Club. The VP of this new club (Paul Cullen) is the owner of the KITT clone that is being used in this 2 hour pilot. This car has the full KITT interior, voice, front light, etc. Apparently, it is not bullet proof and does not go over 200 MPH though.
