Much of the reasoning our founding fathers didn't allow the general public to vote for the first Presidents, a fact which many are not aware.

"According to the OXFORD COMPANION OF AMERICAN HISTORY until 1824 presidential and vice presidential nominees were selected by congressional leaders in secret sessions called caucuses. Although toward the end of the era they were opened to the public, they began to be criticized as undemocratic."

And to quote John Quincy Adams....

"The Presidency of the United States, was an office neither to be sought nor declined. To pay money for securing it directly or indirectly, was in my opinion incorrect in principle."

Too late to stop it now. Our society is on the decline and will end.

The voters have realized that they can vote in representatives that will give will give them access to the public treasury.

Over 50% of our population gets a significant portion of income from a government source.

Ask yourself what would happen if the government stopped writing checks at all levels. No more SS, no more medicare, medicaid, food stamps, housing assistance, etc.

It would be chaos and anarchy. We are a dependent society.
