      yep. It's called EDF.... an abbreviation for Electric Ducted Fan. these puppies spin at 46K rpm and higher, the noise is just great.

        I've always wanted to make an AV8B. I figured out how to make it with an automatic leveling system that would make it very stable in a hover. That is pretty cool.

        BTW I did buy a Spectrum DX7 Helli radio last Friday with 2 receivers. So I filled out the form to get 2 receivers free from Spectrum. What a deal.
