There was a similar "downsized" platform that came into being about the same time which was a unibody front drive platform. That ultimately led to the RWD platform going away after 87. I should know..... I've had the body off the frame at one point to replace the body bushings.

    And oh yeah....... that little turbo V6 in the GN will stomp virtually anything on the road past or present. What a fine piece of engineering even if it is 20 years old.

    what kind of gas miliage did they get?

      About 27 combined if you kept your foot out of the throttle. That was pretty hard to do though, considering how much torque was available just by squeezing the accelerator.
