  • Corvette Cruise today. Pics within.

The Corvette forum had a little get together for a drive through the mountains this morning. Here are some pictures I took. The pictures remind me of the F-body cruise up skyline drive.

Let me tell you these guys (and 1 gal) are F-ing crazy drivers. We had to let them go and go a different way.

2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

    1995 Z28, many mods, SOLD

Yep. I remember. I bet you weren't as crazy as who was leading our pack. OMG! If I had wanted a canyon carver I would have bought a Z06. Crazy just seams like an inadequate word for those guys. One of the guys with a C6 Z06 said his G meter hit .89 . He also said he wasn't pushing it. His wife, like mine, was not very happy about it.

actually, on this very cruise... happyDan, with his z06 came flying around the pack as we began to climb the mountain....i saw him coming and got on it... mary almost lost it trying to stay with me and backed off, and dan climbed up my (_!_) like i was driving a mini van...hahahahahahahaha

the year before, it was me and Jay Fisher, him in a anniv. 30th TA... we screamed up the mountain on the cliffs edge leaving the pack behind... it was awesome...

hey guys im not looking for a fight at all but im just curious when i did something stupid and i parking lot and messed my car up, asked for help all of you gave me huge lectures about doing stuff stupid. but here you are saying that you are driving obviously way to fast on a mountain (.89 G's). isnt that kinda hipicritical? atleast i wasnt going to fall off the side of a mountain. just to reiterate im not trying to re-light a fire or start anything just a simple question i am asking.

That was fun Ken! I remember it well. My neighbor was with me, he got an education.

                  You pick your spots, eh?

The longer that time goes by, the more I miss my C5 Z06. I think I like the body style better than than the C6 Z06, but I would love to have a C6 Z06.

                  Better yet, a ZR1

nor did I say I pulled .89 Gs.

A C5 which mine is does not have a G meter.

Since you used quotes from me I assume this is directed at me. Next time you might try reading the post rather than skimming it.

For the record I almost never do over 15 mph over the posted speed limit and usually don’t do over 10 mph over the speed limit. I don’t want any tickets. I never do burnouts unless I am replacing the tires within 24 hours. I never speed through the neighborhood because if a kid jumps out and you hit and kill him you will never see the light of day. And as I said before
