    baby fox

    my neighbor around the block and his girlfriend walked over today and requested my help... he found a baby fox in the road on the construction site where he works... poor little guy... was covered with ticks, even had one over his left eye.... and filthy. ticks removed, bathed down with plain water, fed and watered and put to bed....

    i advised him not to keep him...he agreed... you need a wildlife permit to do that, plus, they can be a handful for sure... Animal Control is picking him up in the morning, he'll be safe tonight... then Fish and Wildlife will take him and rehab him and turn him loose.

    Gotta hand it to my neighbor and his girlfriend, little fella would be dead by now if if was not for what he did... the baby fox stayed in his truck all day at the site in a box with some torn up t shirts and water till he got off work...

    What a great thing your neighbor did. Most people would either call animal control or just pass it by without another thought.

        dern right...hardest wildlife to try and domesticate, henceforth...going to fish and wildlife for rehab and turned loose.

          Some dude that comes into my work caught one and keeps it as a pet,makes me kinda mad because it was probaly more happy in the wild

            He's a young one, alright- still got that 'puppy fuzz' And pretty sharp looking eyes- I wonder if they are as cunning as they are portrayed to be?

            I have heard that the grey foxes will climb trees....

            I'd love one for a pet, but I imagine they are a handfull- pretty vocal, too-

              they are very very difficult as pets. one of my wrr members has one, she also has a wolf (pure) and two wolfdogs, and says the fox is more trouble than all three of them x 100. she said she would never recommend anyone having one as a pet.

                Oh, how does your friend have a pure wolfdog? Must have a special license.. That's gotta be an awsome sight.

                Imagine taking it around the neighboorhood for a morning walk lol...
