  • Rode something pretty wild yesterday

Went to Disney Studios yesterday, it was a freebie from friends that work there. I was able to ride Aerosmith's roller coaster, this doesn't climb a hill like a regular coaster, it blasts you off from a standstill.

    0-60 in 2.8 seconds

and it felt every bit as quick, then it snaps into a loop. I haven't been on another coaster with that kind of outrageous start. You gotta ride the thing if you ever get the chance. It feels about as quick off the line as a 9 second car. A thumbs up ride!

I know what you are talking about! I rode that thing over and over and got the front seat for one of the trips. It was AWESOME.

I can relate. I've ridden quite a few serious coasters. This is the first one to actually give me a touch of motion sickness.

I was going ask who she was but then remembered what board it was. LOL.

I am with Ken, I would puke for sure. I watched my friends go on it. I couldn't possibly try it after that elevator type ride that was right next to it. My knees were shaly!

I went to Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio about 4 years ago, and I rode a ride called Top Thrill Dragster. It would do 0-120 MPH in 4 seconds, then shoot you straight up a 400 foot tall tower, where you would ride straight back down. It was a trip, especially in the front seat with no windshield. Good thing I didn't hit any bugs or birds.

Any roller coasters that launch you like that are way cool.

Been on that one, Joe. You're right. That is one sick coaster! I olove roller coasters, but I was just happy I tried that one once. I was happy to simply survive it.

There are other coasters that are faster, I think this one is so deadly because it's in the dark.

I avoided that one like the plague (The height!) although it is slower than when it initially opened

I rode that one the first week it was open(actually I think it was the first day because they tested it the first few hours that we were there) Long wait but definately a thrill...

That Top Thrill Dragster sounds cool. On Aerosmith's, I hadn't felt that pinned to the seat since before my accident. I was liking it.

It would be very cool to build a top fuel simulator that would take you to 320 mph and back down at the same rates that you would experience in the real thing.

I don't know if I'd be up for that Joe, I have a retina with a loose spot on it and I think that it would be detached by the G-forces simulated by releasing the chutes.

It is crazy to think that as impressive as 0-120 MPH in 4 seconds felt, there's guys (and gals) doing 0-320 MPH in around the same amount of time. That boggles my mind.
