    Hey Wolfie...new mod coming for GXP

    I'm in the market to replace my Vibe GT soon, and have been looking at the Cobalt SS with the turbocharged four (shared by the GXP and HHR SS). I'll probably wait till next year, but I'm doing my research now.


    Anyway, GM is supposed to be releasing a GM Performance parts upgrade which will boost power to approx. 300 hp. Rumor has it, they are testing it to make sure it will not cause an issue with their new 5 year, 100K powertrain warranty.


    If estimated cost is correct, the package should be well under $1k.


    Have you heard anything yet?

    have not heard on release yet, but its a longer higher boost... they are considering it for O.E. on the new Solstice GXP Targa Top coupe...

      Can you imagine...another 40 hp on these cars??? 300hp in a 3000 lb. car?!?!


      As it is, the power to weight ratio is nearly the same as my T/A already.


      Can't wait to get one of these cars...

        the solstice weighs 3k lbs? i would have thought it to be less then that...
