after he swallowed the ball in the backyard (made a post about it..). we reacted immediately and got him to the vet, he was 2 min.'s from death...when they got the ball out...his heart rate was 40 (normal for a dog is 120+), eyes fixed, tongue purple... he was dying... resuscitated him. Spent the night in an E vet under 24 hr watch, came home, only to have an allergic reaction to the antibiotics and spend another 2 nights at the e vet two days later.... then had other probs, spent the night at a specialist of internal medicine and was sono gramed entirely in his ab, then scoped down the esophagus, all came out ok.... rest and special diet......which ended two days ago (the diet).... he turned 8 years old a week ago sunday...4 days after he almost died...it was a special birthday for sure.
$3100.00 total for our boy... and lots of sleepless nights and prayers... and he's back 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! took these tonight. All the way....
I love this little guy, he's a special golden, and Keona loves him too..from the day we adopted him two years ago she took to him right away, which told me something, for a 80% wolf to do that to an older male entering the pack was most unusual...
Im one thankful dude... it was a miracle this little guy made it... thank God.........
