I was going through a local auctioneering site and came across this Camaro. It looks like a pretty nice car... They have a lot of other nice oldies as well...T-birds, mustangs etc...

I don't think that the old 250 C.I. six was particularly thrifty- and, most likely it came with the 3-speed manual, no O.D.- (I can't see the link from work) Even if the car has been 'modernized' with radial tires, I don't think you are going to see mileage numbers any where near what you would get with any model fuel injected car- may even have to use a lead substitue in the fuel, too- more $- sorry to rain on your parade-
They were light, fun-to-drive cars, but don't think it will be economical- then, what fun car is?
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress

Apples to oranges bud...I got to think it was more thrifty than the 302 or 350 or any big block...Of course that is like saying 13mpg is better than 10mpg...
I certainly wouldn't have bought it at that price tag, I just thought it was interesting that someone would.
