  • Mary's beast has landed

she loves it ....took delivery yesterday....

1 problem..... i've got a new job now... i have to back it out of the garage in the a.m. before work... and put it away at night.. she's terrified of trying to get it in and out of the garage.. there is only 3" clearance on each side...you have to fold the mirrors back, LOL..... I told her she'll learn. i even did it with the right side mirror still out...by folding only the left when i went in... nope... she wont even try it... LOL.

and yup, already installed the bug shield and vent shades and her rescue decalls for her...last night. she wants a custom grill so im shopping for that... ordered a weathertech cargo mat and stored the third row seats in the basement...

off topic, Nikona's dad (my first wolfdog) name was: Yukon.

the wolfdog has to be crated when we travel...the goldens can roam free inside..

try putting all that in something smaller........

            LOL

So, how many shares of Exon-Mobil do you have?

My Yukon mostly sits in the driveway, and I am driving the '97 T/A to save on fuel costs. My wife and I finally snapped when our monthly fuel budget went over $1,000. I parked the Yukon and I have only filled it twice in the last three months...over $120 a fill-up. Our camping trips in Big Blue were cut in half this year.

Good luck with the Yukon...hopefully fuel will stabilize under $5 a gallon. Otherwise, these large SUVs will become extremely large paper weights.

              '79 T/A: WS6, 400 4sp, 40K miles; Completely stock and original
'87 Lifted 3/4 ton Suburban (Big Blue) plow truck
'94 Roadmaster Wagon (The Roadmonster) 200,000 miles and still going
              '97 T/A: (SLP 1LE Suspension, SB, & sfc(s), Loudmouth); 4.10s; B&M Ripper; R/A Hood; ZR1s
My daily drivers: '06 Jeep Liberty CRD (wife); '01 Yukon Denali XL (me); '03 Stratus Coupe (me)

My wife and I have three kids and two GSDs. It is about miserable to put them in the Jeep. If the kids have friends tagging along, then the Yukon is our only choice. Things are such a bummer right now!
