I tried the moonshine thing. I came out with a clear, atrocious-tasting, flammable liquid... just one thimble-full would knock my socks off .

My brother makes batches all the time. He even made and bottled an excellent tasting strawberry wine. There is a warehouse here in town for people to get started making their own. They sell kits as well.

I had a home brew kit a few years back. I made a few batches, but put it away when I was remodeling my basement. I keep threatening to drag it back out. I really should. My stout sucked, but I made a pretty good ale.

The Stout is very tasty! I had one yesterday and was very pleased with it! But i only have about 5 gallons of it (two 24-packs!)

Meanwhile, today my brother and I are brewing a Hefeweizen! with a touch of lemon zest, like the samuel adams summer ale.

Next brew is going to be a STEAM (aka California Common).

            Cheers

That's awesome. My stout, for whatever reason, was terrible. Not sure whether I did something wrong or not, but I'm going to give it a try again. I usually love a well brewed stout.

Your posting inspired me to dig out my home brew kit last night. I'll set it up tonight and see what happens.

look in the yellow pages under "B" for brewing equipment/supplies. otherwise there are a lot of places online that sell them.
