my Dad is in bad shape.. not looking good.

somebody hold the rain...but ...cant justify renting a car with money being tight these days.. if i get er wet...ill just spend a couple of days on my back under it getting it back to factory fresh..LOL

the rain Gods spared me..... it rained last night ...but the sol was under car cover in the motel parking lot........

on another note, my dad looks terrible...it brought a tear to my eyes... but being the man he is...he insisted on seeing the GXP... took his walker, and made it outside to his driveway..went over the whole car...20 min or so.... he loved it... he just got out of the hospital Sat...... with all his medical probs... ..he still manages a smile..and makes jokes... got a heart like a fighter plane........ not surprising.. he was a fighter pilot... in three wars as a matter of fact.........

he's going to be 87 next month...... he may not make it...he knows that..... im praying......

Well, I don't want to get grim, but is sounds like like he has had a good run- good, interesting life and a loving family- can't ask for any more-

I am in no hurry to open that door, to the 'next step', but I know it is an inevitable part of being human- and, I am a little curious to meet my maker- whoever dreamed this world up has one heck of a sense of humor-

Good luck with your dad- as long as he knows you care about him and you're doing well, he will be fine. You, on the other hand, I would worry about. I lost my dad 25 years ago, and there still are times I wish I could talk to him, ask him about things going on in my life- God Bless you and your family-

Ken- I don't know about any of your religious convictions, and I am not out trying to 'save' you, but, if you want to read about Tony Snow's thoughts on his deathbed, dying from recurring cancer, he wrote a powerful essay about it, about life and meeting your maker- Tony Snow was George Bush's press secretary, who just recently passed- I have a link to another F-body forum where somebody posted this, and I thought you might have a look- hope this helps put some things into perspective- it is very "Christian", not a bad thing in my book, just a warning so nobody gets offended-

we have strong Christian ties in our family. My grandfather was a Baptist preacher and my Uncle in Tampa is also... My Uncle is helping dad as well.

They suspect a form of leukemia but cant pen it down.... transfusions are in his future on a regular basis.
