Wolfdog spotted at the beach!

I saw my first wolfdog on Sunday at the beach downtown. I got to talk to the owner and found out he got him in Ohio. Wolfdogs are illegal in IL so when cops ask him what he is he tells them it's a Husky, LoL!

His name is Floyd and is 7 months old,





















You can see my dog next to him. They're both 7 months old and you can see the difference in size. Mine's 65 lbs, his is 90.

Absolutely beautiful creature. His markings were amazing. He was very sociable with people and other dogs. The owner said he never barks, just howls.

I have two German Shepards, in part, because they remind me of how wolfs look- the alert ears, over coat, etc. You can see the intelligence in the eyes-

remember my friend, one of my talents is phenotyping wolfdogs, I am recognized by the Defenders of Wildlife in this arena...in fact, i do it for county shelters all over the state, and sometimes out of state by a series of pictures...

that animal is nowhere near 75%, and the owner proly fell for the same ol same ol line from some breeder looking for the big bucks marketing his wolfdogs for much higher content than they realy are...

chest is too wide, ears too long, muzzel way too wide, front paws should be wide and short rear long and narrow...... look how much it looks like your dog...that wolfdog is way more german shepherd than wolf...

nope, thats a low content wolfdog... (we dont go by % in the real wolfdog world, its impossible to narrow it down that close... we go by: low, mid, high mid, and high content....

like i said, good looking wolfdog.... but a low.. we go through this all the time thanks to the lying breeders...or...wolfdog owners trying to "overstate the content" of their wolfdog to be macho or whatever... LOL

also, mids and up do not have fine line destinctive marking, the colors flow into the next color without distinctive lines... (just trying to give you some heads up

the other thing i will mention here for the benifit of anybody thinking of getting a wolfdog...or meeting someone with one is, "papers"........ there NO "papers" in the wolfdog world.... papers mean nothing.... anyone can draw up a fake set of papers to bamboozle a wolfdog purchaser... ie:

(logo like "Sierra Nevada Timber Wolf Assoc")
Sire: Yukon, 120lbs, 97% timber wolf 3% Malamute
mate: Nikii, 115lbs, 70% Timber wolf 30% Siberian husky

F factor: 3 (generations removed from the wild).

weight at birth: XXXXXXXXX

etc etc.....

it all means nothing except for a way for a breeder to get the most money for his or her wolfdog litter...

word to the wise...

happens all the time, broh... deal with it weekly...LOL.. but bottom line is, he's a great dog.. no matter what percentage, has a good owner and happy home, thats what counts!

naw..does'nt do any good half the time.. they dont want to hear it...
