Blows away many of the "fast" sports cars.

I agree with you Joe. One of those would really be fun. Do you remember the TVR Griffith from the 60s? That thing was faster than a Cobra from that era. Here is a video on that car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6zoJoIiG7g

The neatest thing about driving a TVR is that most people wouldn't even know what it was- probably think it was a kit car-

The old ones, 20 years ago, used to mount the spare tire horizontally in the nose- they claimed you could drive into a barrier at 25 MPH, then drive it home- the spare would fold up and take the impact. Nice engineering, not sure how reliable they are- I owned an MG for years, and loved driving it, but it really soured me on unreliable cars- Used to have Lucas electrics, and they used to call Joseph Lucas the "prince of darkness" or the man who invented darkness. Still, for 1.8 L, or about 110 C.I., it was pretty quick- In the twisties I could keep up with the 'vettes of the day, which didn't handle all that well, but, when we hit the straights, they would leave me in the dust-

They actually made a MG with the Rover V-8, but never inported it into the states- the MG-F. They did import the 6-cylinder on, the MG-C for a couple years in the late 60's- Sort of their answer to the Sunbeam Tiger, I suppose-
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress
