before i get started, i know there are many other folks in this same predicament ... so please dont harp on me in that arena... and this is a first for me, as far as making a request of this nature for folks in lieu of wolfdog rescue..
but one of my best friends, a dude i have a world of admiration for, has lost his home in TX. They lived on the east section of texas, right near the gulf and LA. 3 foot above sea level....the water came miles in and got his home... he has 11 wolfdogs...he had taken his wife and daughters and the wolfdogs and fled with their truck and trailer with cages. All they have is the animals and their clothes and few items... his neighbor got in touch with him by cell...his neighbor was on his roof for rescue... and told Jerry "i cant see your house, man......at all..."...
Jerry is one of the most famous wolfdog people in the U.S., with more knowledge of wolves and wolfdogs than most of the people in the world. He has given presentations at major wolfdog events..an excellent speaker as well. He has also rescued so many wolfdogs, fostered, and just given thousands of his own money and hours of his own time unselfishly to the wolfdog community...and general animal rescue, including pure wolves..
a very talented blue collar worker, construction, steel..you name it...
he and his family are on the way to http://www.fullmoonfarm.org wolfdog sanctuary in NC... Nancy Brown, a good friend of mine, is building pens for his animals and making room in her house for jerry and his family. its going to be a long while before he can get his insurance rolling on this.....a lot of mess to wade through.
they need help bad... real bad....
any..........any amount anyone wants to send will help...5 bucks adds up........

I'm trying to think of things I can do to help him...besides money.. i'd house him, but being located where I am, his 11 wolfdogs and my wolfdog and 3 goldens would get us arrested...
again, i know jerry and his family are just a drop in the bucket in the amount of folks in trouble in TX... but he's a very close friend, and a guy that would do anything for anyone in trouble themself... i know.. he helped me through a serious time when my son was killed....and before that, the loss of my first wolfdog...
anyway.......
God bless all the folks that got hit and are suffering... a lot of praying and work is in the future.
