my jetta's engine and car are shaking pretty bad,and the idle is going up and down between 1,000 to 1,500 rpms,I checked all the plugs and connections ,what do u guys think the problem is ,thank you (the check engine light is flashing ,that means its real bad)

sounds like u got a mis-fire and or a vacuum leak, go get the MIL light checked and go from there

check all fluids, check all vaccum lines. Make sure they are all good. Chean Throttle body and idle sensor if it has one.

had my dad take a look at the car and he was clueless,woke up this mourning to drive it to the shop,once I got on the road the probelm went away,I still took it to the shop though,I figure stuff will start breaking I have 92K,and havent had anything break besides the cat converter.

the code says its a sensor,but he told me it doesnt say what sensor,

whats the code number? P1XXX? OB2 codes can be broken down to give the general area of where the problem is

it was the o2 sensor ,ricer shop wants $170,dealer wants $350

is that the box style jetta? with the long square headlights? if so check the vac lines by the air box cuz alot of times they fall off or break open from check the air filter

no its the round newer style

ok, check to make sure u aint got a vac leak. altho is prob the O2 sensor, just double check to make sure it is.

If its throwing a O2 sensor code i doubt its a vac. leak.

we dont kno exactly what O2 sensor code it is, could be too high, too low, heck it could be the bank 1 sensor 2(post cat) O2 sensor

I paid the money and got the o2sensor replaced fixded the problem
