  • Gas prices October 2008

Curious with the yo-yo like oil prices, and droppong 50+% in value from $147/barrel to the $60's, are around the country. This past 2 weeks I couldn't keep up in the prices. Although I have seen gas stations have been stingy to lower the const of gas to reflect actual oil prices

          No kidding!

I'll be 90% satisfied when it goes close to when I started driving: $1.48 for regular.

Somehow, I doubt this is going to last too long.

Does anybody else think this is an election scam? Prices go down, everybody is happy, votes to keep the incumbents in, then, after the election the royal shafting begins again? Call me cynical-

I started driving at 29 cents a gallon- but minimum wage was a buck, and you could buy 3 quarts of Carling Black Label beer for $1.19- drinking age was 18 so high-school was 'close enough'

I think the price got so high for a while there was a real decline in demand- scared the producers enough that they had to come down a little- let's hope we are smart enough to keep demand low no matter how 'cheap' it goes-
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress

I think car's ran on water (steam powered) when Ken started driving. I doubt we'll ever see water-stations anytime soon.

Of course they ran on water. They also ran on feed. They were horses!

J/K Ken. I really don't need to be telling anyone how I got my %&# handed to me by a man nearly twice my age.
