This is going to be interesting. The last time the democrats had the majority they passed the kind of stuff that led to the meltdown of the mortgage industry. Obama is already saying he wants to pass a cap and trade bill for emissions that will essentially lead to the destruction of the coal industry which supplies half the power to the United States. The dems want to make offshore drilling illegal forever not just something that has to be renewed every year. So there goes that power source. They are against nuclear energy even though Obama says he is for nuclear. Lets see where that goes in congress. So I guess we will be powering the country with solar and wind power. It takes something like enough solar cells to cover the entire state of Georgia to power Atlanta alone. Small math problem there too. Oh and by all means keep letting the water out of Lake Lanier so we can't use it to generate electricity either. Got to save those 12 muscles in Florida. Lets see if this leads to another voter revolution of 1994. I just hope at that time they can undo some of the mess that is going to take place.

Again, I want McCain, but the other side of me is actually smiling thinking about Obama getting into office (let me explain).
Up until now, the dopes in my state (NJ) blame all of the troubles in the world on the republicans because of "W".
If Obama wins, we have:
Democrats starting in Jamesburg NJ and ending with the Feds.(majority or complete dominance) All councilmen, Mayor, Freeholders, Sheriff, County Committeemen, Assemblymen, State Congressman, State Senators, Governor, State Supreme Court, House of Representatives, Senate, Vice President, and finally...President. Yes folks...ALL Democrats.
Now, if something goes wrong, one can only assume it was the Democrats' fault. There are no Republicans left to blame.
Hmmm...perhaps there is a silver lining to all of this. Hard to see, but two years down the road, something tells me I will be vindicated.

You still don't get it. The legislative branch of the government runs this country not the executive branch. All the president can do is either sign or veto the bills the congress and the senate make. The law forbids him from doing most things by executive order.

Why is it always about speeches? You want speeches? Look back at a radio interview with Obama in 2001. Here's an actual quote... "One of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organising and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that."
Yikes. A radical socialist is being handed the keys to the free world.
