there are lots of vet's here... lots with stories to tell, some that won't tell some stories.... I know. But the bottom line is, our Country... and what our country became, how it got here (not political)... how Americans are willing to fight and die for freedom and pride in God and Country... lots of vet's to come after our current war too.....

I'm a Vietnam vet... USAF Black Berets, Security Special Forces...a combat hit team that traveled all over the theater back in the late 60's and 70's... the Air Force version of the green berets.. but trust me..we were not quite up to par to them... although we thought we were bad ass... I was only in 4 years..... but I walk in a tall mans shadow........my dad... USAF Col. retired... WWII fighter pilot, also flew the Berlin Airlift, Korean war fighter pilot, and 2 tours in Nam, first one fighter pilot, second on L19 Bird dog pilot forward air controller... Bronze star, Silver star.....purple heart......

So speak up vets.... cause tomorrow is about sacrafice, no matter how big or how small, how long, or how tall...... U.S.A. rocks... not matter what the current mess in politics...

Kudo's to all the vets......and thanks to all that didn't make it home, best wishes to the families of those as well... and hats off and prayers of good will to those crippled for life, everyone gave, so we could have and be where we are now.

I remember talking to an Iraqi vet who was only three days younger than me over the summer. He showed me pics he had in his wallet of him over there and told me all about it. It just amazes me that people my age are able to deal with this because truthfully, I don't know if I could handle it.

Thanks for your service to our country, Ken- I missed the Viet Nam draft by being a college student- rated 1-S, by the time I was out of college Nixon had 'peace at hand' and the draft was stopped. Sometimes I think I missed out, a cousin one-and-a-half years older joined the Navy at age 17 in 1971- learned computers, and 'retired' with lifetime medical and a pension at age 37- to start another career with computers- he is retired again, with a motorhome traveling the country-

My dad was a Naval Academy grad, with Jimmy Carter in his class- '46- talk about timing, he came out just in time to operate a mine sweeper- My uncle, his brother was army air corp, and felt that the A-bomb we dropped on Japan saved his life, by not having to be part of an invasion of the mainland

Grandpa was calvary, the 'Great War', WW 1- where this day came from- originally Armistice day, when the truce at the end of WW 1 went into effect- the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month- 11 AM on November 11-

Sorry to ramble on so, they tell me it is a sign of age- I have been around a few giants myself, that greatest generation that made it through a real depression, and invaded Normandy beach- God Bless all our Veterans- Peace isn't free, but bought and paid for by such men-
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress

I am thankful to my father, Army Air Corps WWII.

I am thankful to my grandfather, infantryman, who spent some quality time in the trenches of France during WWI.

My family's history goes back to the Revolution so I get pretty sensitive on Veteran's day. I will leave it that.....

Thanks to all who sacrificed! I certainly understand and appreciate what that means to me!

Sorry...this is late...I was travelling with work and couldn't get online.

There's not much more I can say than "Thank You" to all of our vets. This country owes you a debt of gratitude we can never repay.
