    Hey guys,

I have to make a 3D model of an Lt1 block (my choice of course) using a computer program for one of my classes. Does anyone have any idea where I would be able to find the LT1 block specifications? Thank you!

No I don't but if you find it let me know. That stuff is a pretty closely guarded secret.

What software are you going to be using? When you say 3D model do you mean 3D on the computer screen or 3D that you can hold in your hand?

I once modeled a V8 engine with everything in it on our CAD system. I could spin the crank and all of the parts would move accordingly. The only problem I had was getting the cam shaft to rotate at half the speed of the crank.

We have a 3D "printer" at work where we can model stuff on our CAD system then make them in plastic on the 3D printer. I modeled the Star Trek Enterprise NCC1701 no bloody A, B, C, or D and a Klingon D5 cruiser and made both of them on the 3D printer. They came out pretty good. If anybody wants the model in .STP or .SAT I can send it to you.

Sounds like fun, if you run into trouble usea cutaway to try and help ya maybe?
I highly doubt you'll get the blueprints though, seems a bit to 'top secret'.

We're not really using a complex program....Its only my first computer class so we are only doing really simple stuff so far. The program is called google sketchup (its free).

I'm trying to think of what else I could do....I definitly want to do an engine block, but I need some sort of dimension. I mean, it doesn't have to be exact but still close. Any ideas? I wish I had one sitting next to me so I could just measure it haha
