    Fasten Your Seatbelts

some of you that know me, i post this every year. today is the 5th anniversary of my son Kenny's death. he was killed when he lost control of his 86 Dodge full size Ram pickup, went off the road, ended up hitting a tree head on. killed instantly because he was thrown through the windshield into the tree. no seatbelt. Trooper on the scene even said "damn sir, if he had just been wearing the seatbelt...I'm so sorry....."

    he was 27 years old.

his girlfriend wasnt wearing one either. ended up under the dash. total re constructive surgery on her face, new eye socket......some other broken stuff.

He was a mechanic, a good one.. and he knew how I felt about seat belts. I would not even start the car until they were fastened by all passengers........and myself.

    Wear em folks..................please.

I was thinking the same thing. Best to you and your family. I like to think of this as one of the reasons I always buckle up.

Thank you for the reminder. It is definitely one of the reasons I always wear mine. I almost feel naked without it.

The wife and I were just commenting about this...being we knew it happened at the end of April.

What surprised us both was that it was 5 years ago...time flies for sure.

              Great reminder...never gets old.

              We're thinking of you sir...

Sorry for your loss, Ken- words can't express how you must feel- Such a waste- everybody looses-

I started buckling up before it was the law- used to imagine I was a race car driver- I have thought about 5-point harnesses in a couple cars, but haven't gone that far- yet.... Maybe if I had an unlimited budget, or YOUR checkbook-

I choose to believe that we will all get together, again, on the 'other side'- there are a couple people I would really like to catch up with, again-
