I was getting sick of my old hood and I found a hood scoop that was originally on a Dodge Ram SRT. I decided to weld it onto a stock hood instead of glue/fiberglass because I want to avoid cracking. It will be a bit more work but I think it will hold up better than my old hood which was a fiberglass cowl scoop glassed to a steel hood. Unfortunately, the guy who did the work, which was before I bought the car, had NO idea what he was doing...He ground about an inch of paint off around and glassed right over the top of the rest of the paint.
The poll is about the body lines in the last two pics. I think it will look better without the lines there. However, if I shave them I will have to use filler which will be kinda thick and will eventually crack. If I leave em and blend in the back of the lines, it stands a better chance of not cracking. What say you?
