Ok so what do you guys think about N Korea and this missle test aimed at Hawaii. I understand that the missle is only capable up to 4000 miles and Hawaii is 4500 miles but it seems like a major slap in the face. I believe N Korea and Iran will start WWIII very soon.

NK is just huffing their chest, as a show of strength when they are actually at their weakest. Kim Jong Ill most likely had a stroke last August and they are preparing his 3rd son as his successor. This transition of power put's NK in a wak spot, so to counteract any chance some other countries take advantage of the regime change and oust NK entirely, NK feels it MUST be brazen with it's acts (kidnapping American reporters from China to NK, then imprisoning them as negotiation pieces) like Open Nuclear testing, lauching of missile, and etc, if it wants to continue to exist. China's lenient so far as they dont want a democracy like SK on it's border to give its own citizens any ideas, like freedom of speech and etc. Safe to say I wonder how far NK will carry this act

Honestly, IMO, this is just Kim jung-Il posturing because he's stepping down and appointing his youngest son as his successor. I believe he's simply trying to show his sheep, I mean countrymen, that his son is strong and will stand up to the "outsiders".


We'll see a change in posture by the end of the year.

All it takes is NKorea's #1 backer.....aka China to get fed up, request a meeting and tell him to "stop now or we'll get involved". Until that happens, NKorea will follow the tradition of starting trouble and being financially rewarded to back down.

I'm not worried in the sense that NK will strike us. As stated above, they're just pounding their chest and causing a stir.

Until that regime is completely changed, this is the sort of thing that will occur every once in a while so the world doesn't forget about them.
