There's still lots to do. I need to change the heater core as it's bypassed right now, plus a host of small details everywhere, the fuel gauge is way off after the pump change too. I didn't want to post photos until it's all done, but you guys are ruthless. LOL!
Now turn up your volume folks and listen to the test fire. It's not very stealthy.
Oh well.........
this is the idle from the front and from the rear with just a slight blip of the throttle. It's crisp to say the least.

thanks brother....... I'll have more soon, been too swamped.Originally posted by Jeff_in_AtlThe car is great but the keyboards are just out of this world! Need more!
Roger that, found out this morning on a test drive that these rears are useless. I brought up the boost from a 45 mph roll and the rears got blown away.Originally posted by wolfdogsyour gonna need bigger rear tires now.................

ATR Billet roller Cam, ARP fasteners, Mild headwork, Ceramic coated Headers, 3" jet hot downpipe, 40# injectors, ATR 7th injector, oiling mods, cooling mods, and so on. This one is a little more conservative than the race motor, but it should still be good for some 11s with good fuel.Originally posted by Wild Willy
Is this stock, or are you 'improving' it?
This is going to be a street car, not a track car.
Thanks! Still rough though.Originally posted by 98 'BirdLooks beautiful and sounds great
Thanks for all the comments guys. It helps during the recovery.

ATR is a company called Applied Technology Research, a 7th injector is a stand alone computer controlled extra injector. The six 40# injectors fuel the car during normal use. When the boost is turned up, the extra injector adds additional fuel to prevent any high speed lean out and subsequent detonation. It can also be hooked up to an alcohol fuel source instead of gasoline.Originally posted by Jeff_in_AtlWhat is "ATR 7th injector"?
it's a handly little device once you go beyond the HP that your regular injectors can support.

Where does it go? Near the throttle body?2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

On turbo Buicks, there is a vacuum distribution block that sits on top of the throttle body that drives all the other vacuum driven controls. The 7th injector system replaces the factory block with a larger base that accepts an injector. This distributes the fuel in though the thottle body and feeds all cylinders. You'll see where there is another injector sitting on top of the throttle body. The fuel supply line is attached to the fuel rail test port.Originally posted by Jeff_in_AtlWhere does it go? I always had an appreciation for the turbo/supercharged Buick 3.8s - the GN, the Turbo Trans AmOriginally posted by Al 96 Ram Air T/ASomething is wrong...you're missing two cylinders...
Yeah... it's only a 6....
GM could've used a RWD layout of the supercharged 3800 in my Firebird. Oh well.Matt

they had some test mules running around the proving grounds with all kinds of different powertrains. One was a supercharged 3.8 that ran right with the v8 cars. That would have been a great offering.Originally posted by 98 'BirdI always had an appreciation for the turbo/supercharged Buick 3.8s - the GN, the Turbo Trans Am

Wow that would've been great. And if they hadn't already, they would've made the Mustang V6 a complete joke with 150 hp and a 0-60 just short of 10 sec in 1998Originally posted by Joe 1320they had some test mules running around the proving grounds with all kinds of different powertrains.
