  • So I happen by a local car show...

I decided to take the buick, not to enter the show but just to check out the local hot rods. I park and as I walk away, some redneck looks at the GN and says "that's hot"....... his buddy walking with him says "eh....Too bad they only came with a V6".

    Clueless.

I know where he's coming from. Don't get me wrong, those Turbo 6s are awesome. The only problem is the engine note. Imagine the thing with a turbo V8...

Funny thing is, with the right exhaust, that engine note can sound pretty mean. But, it is pretty tough getting to that point.

Hey Joe, at least they didn't call it a Monte Carlo, right?

here's an example of that. Here's the latest run by the guy that built my motor. That's an 8.97 at better than 150 in the quarter.

I was browsing "related videos" and reading a few of the imbecilic comments found on most videos. I thought it was rather disappointing that many people don't remember Buick's performance days. I watched a 3800 Firebird doing a burnout and one comment was "oh it's just a Buick in disguise".

People just love to show their ignorance.

                      Joe,

I had a similar incident with my procharged 94Z28. My wife was sitting in the car reading a book. When these two guys happened by and read "Supercharged Intercooled" on the side of my car. They made comments like "There's no damned supercharger on that car". Along with a couple other nastier comments. So when I came back, my wife told me and pointed them out. There were only a couple cars away. So, I fired it with the borla wide open. They looked over and came running back to the sweet sound of the procharger belt whining.

                      Idiots, just plain idiots.

You shoulda asked them if they wanted to run em.

So..... I took the GN out and stopped at the grocery store. on my way out to the car, the guy collecting carts says:
"Nice car, does it have a small block 350?"

                        I shook my head "No".

He then says with a disappointment "Oh, a 305? "

I ask "You don't know these cars do you?"

                        he says "no".

I shake my head, climb in and go on my merry way.

                        Typical day with a GN
