  • Baby got new shoes

Just did the install, now have to deal with the suspension to get the right right height. 17 x7.5 wheels with 225/45/17 on all four corners (for now) Just about stole the wheels, the price with tires was just too good to pass on.

There is no external handle like stock, it's been shaved.

To open the door, you reach into a secret hidden slot to trip the mechanism. Very stealthy.

It kind of shrunk in the wash.

Ahh... got it now. Actually, these are the same dimensions, that's one reason why it was such a popular swap.

Yep, she's mine. It's got a mildly worked over 2.8 v6, makes some nice noise and runs respectable. Handling is pretty good.

I am a sucker for Buick performance- used to have a '79 Century, which was similar to the Regal with a funny chopped trunk- RWD, came with the 3.8- but, when the 3.8 threw a rod, I replaced it with a Buick 359, then 4-bbl, then duals, then shift kit, then nitrous... A real sleeper, looked like a businessman sedan outside, even left the 3.8 V-6 badges on the fender- would walk most Camaros, and any Monte Carlo-

I used the IROC-Z wheels, 16 inch, with 225/50-16 Goodyear Eagles. The grey metallic paint on the rims matched the paint on the Buick, with was setallic silver over grey- pretty car, and a blast to drive- Never owned one of the turbos, mostly because they are too much money for me to put into a 'fun' car- but I really like them. And the early 70's GSX's with big blocks-*sigh* Sort of an Olds Cutlass with more luxury-

You're a lucky fellow- enjoy your Buick-
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress

thanks brother...... the GN has a story behind it. I was in College when those first came out, I had been busting my arse in school and was pretty poor at the time. At one point I figured out that if I didn't eat every 3rd day, I would have enough money for gas to get around town. Pretty tough times. I had gotten some free tickets to the Auto show so my best firend and I went out just to dream. While there I saw all types of stuff, but when I turned a certain corner and saw the black beast sitting there with "Bad to the Bone" cranking though a soundsystem, I was in awe. I sat in it, looked at the pricetag and thought "No way". It was $17,495, not cheap for the times. I knew that one day, I had to have one of these. It wasn't going to be anytime soon, but one day........

Fast forward to 1993, I was on the hunt. I was long since done with school, work was paying off and I had to track down one of those black beasties. I searched for several months to find the right combination of whatever was wrong with it for me to do it on a budget. It's been in my possession ever since, it even outlasted my first wife. It has endured several theft attempts, not to mention a couple hurricanes that caused some dings here and there. If all works out this next few months, she gets a total body restoration starting in January.
