To all vets.... a strong handshake for sure.

Special thought for my father, who passed last Feb: WWII fighter pilot, Korean War fighter pilot, 2 tours to Vietnam , fighter pilot and forward air controller. Bronze Star, Silver Star, distinguished flying cross. USAF Col. retired, 30 years. God rest his soul. The hero of my life.

I went to Arlington and the Iwo Jima memorial for the first time when I went to check out that BMW in the other thread.

I still don't have words to describe what I felt.

A day late but yes a very big thanks. BTW my dad drove a landing craft at Iwo. He was always a very humble man who never spoke of his accomplishments. After his passing my brother and I went through his medals and service record. To say the least we were in awe. I was very proud to place a flag on his resting place yesterday.
