"TAMPA, Fla. (AP) ? A Tampa police officer shot a pit bull with a Taser stun gun while trying to keep it from killing a chicken.

The officer was reporting to a domestic dispute Saturday night when he saw the dog chase a chicken into a 19-year-old woman's home. The woman told the officer that the dog didn't belong to her and that she was worried it would attack her 2-year-old son.

The officer chased the animals from the home and followed them to the rear of the house. A report says the dog began to attack the chicken, and the officer deployed his Taser to stun the dog. While the pit bull was incapacitated, the officer dragged the animal into his marked cruiser. Animal services arrived and took the dog to a shelter.

The conditions of the dog and chicken were not available"

      here's another one.

"TAMPA - Four fish remain alive following a traffic crash at Tampa International Airport last week.

Fifty fish lived in the tank before a Ford Ranger driven by Yamile Campuzano-Martine crashed into it Nov. 9, Florida Aquarium spokesman Tom Wagner said.

Most died soon after the crash, but some fish lasted a few days longer. There were five survivors through the weekend, but a triggerfish died Monday, Wagner said.

The survivors, which include a clownfish, have begun eating again and aquarium employees say they have a good chance of survival.

"We're hopeful that they will pull through," Wagner said.

The crash broke a 1,500-gallon tank worth more than $50,000. No people were seriously injured.

Airport spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan said the plan is to rebuild a tank that resembles what was there.

Aquarium and airport staff will assess the damage to the original tank and after a few weeks decide on the next step, she said.

The goal is to have a fish exhibit and bring a fish tank back to the same airport location, Geoghagan said."

      Great reporting on this one.
