The radio around here keeps talking how DC doesn't know how to plow snow. It's not that they don't know how, it's that they don't have the amount of equipment needed to deal with it.

I'm actually glad I don't live in DC anymore with a storm like that. I dealt with the 96 storm in DC. That was bad enough.

You're completely right. They dont know/have anything. I was just on I-95 two nights ago and all of a sudden the passing lane turned into a snow lane and I was going 75! There's just foot after foot of snow piled up in these gigantic mountains along the interstates.

We are trying to make the best out of it. I teach and this means I will go 11 days without work (don't matter to me I'm on salary and don't have to make these days up) and I am starting to lose my sanity.

theres 2" outside of my apartment, the transfer station put a letter in the paper saying their companies will run a day behind cuz of the storm, i get there and the scale house lady is not happy shes gotta work saturday cuz they were too scared to have the drivers attempt the routes, i didnt even use any sand today

We dodged another bullet. Just 4" instead of the 10 -14 they were predicting. I'm okay with that.
