I would look it over and run it for quite a while, but he's right, most of the normal issues have been addressed...

If it's as clean as he says and no rust, offer him 4K for it and see what he says.. Keep us posted.

          I think 5k is a little too steep for a 95 vert.

I couldn't even get that for mine with all the stuff I have done to it.

          I would offer him 3500.

I'm rather curious as to why the car has the 110 speedo. If I'm wrong, please correct me, but didn't the 94+ V8 6-spd. cars come with 155 speedos? I thought only the 93 V8 6-spd. 2.73 cars had the 110 speedo. Other than that, looks good. I'd say 4k is a good offer. Maybe a little more, but not much more.

Look at the detective work by Steve. Nice catch.

It could be just as simple as a replaced gauge cluster, but it's worth further investigation.

If I remember correct, The speedo and top speed limiter was determined by what tires were delivered on the car. The base tires got the low speedo and a 115mph limiter. If you opted for the upgrade, you got the higher speedo and no limiter.

My 94 Z vert came with a 115 speedo. If that car is clean and rust free it's worth at least 5Gs.

Man, everybody is claiming this car is worth much more than I'm thinking.

                      What am I missing?

What is my car worth? Mods listed in sig. and it has 135k on it.

Convertibles are always worth more, and that one is a M6 which is rare and sought after. The vast majority of LT1 Convertibles had automatic transmissions. Go look around - try and find a nice one for under 5Gs.

                          Looking at cars.com

the cheapest LT1 convertible listed is $4800 and has 120,000 miles on it. It's an automatic.

The cheapest LT1 convertible listed with a stick is $5,500 and has 128,000 miles on it.

These are what I would consider average condition cars given their age. If you find a super nice one I'd expect to pay more.
