  • just call me captain slow!

Well Ill give ya a run down on my runs with the typhoon. First lets just start calling me captain slow.... I even went around the burnout box the first run and backed up alittle to clean the tires and forgot i had in reverse and stomped on her a little embarrasing but funny to say the least

    run #1
    r/t .113
    60. 2.06
    330 5.7
    1/8 8.9
    mph 75.4
    1/4 14.23 lol
    mph 90.4

    r/t .070
    60. 1.9
    330 5.4
    1/8 8.5
    mph 80.6
    1/4 13.4
    mph 100.6

    r/t .224
    60. 1.9
    330 5.4
    1/8 8.4
    mph 81.4
    1/4 13.3
    mph 100.8

They eventually made us race the 1/8 because of the wind. It was a steady 30mph headwind so I might of gone a little faster. I gotta figure out how the previous owners were runnin high 7's in the 8th. I did have alot of people in the staging lane ask me if it was a real typhoon, what the heck was it, and did it have a 350 in it!

Wow 13.3@101, sounds pretty good! Is it stock? What kind of 60' times should you pull once you get used to it? 1.7ish? If so, that's a 12.9 run right there.

BTW, have you taken your T/A back to the track, or dynoed after the long tubes?

Man, I'd kill for those 60' times. My auto-x suspension blows for drag racing. The best I could manage with street tires was a 2.10

I know I could drastically reduce that with slicks, but I like my 10-bolt just fine the way it is

Nice times! I had a similar top end speed (102 mph) but couldn't break 14.0 because I spin the first 100'. I miss draggin'...but taking exit ramps at 60 mph is fun too

Nice, that's good for 12.5-12.7 in the 1/4 mile. So what happens in a race between it and your T/A? Is it running higher boost than stock?

not sure but I imagine on the street the ty will lauch and the t/a will see tail lights for a while but then it will reel it in eventually and then its byby
