  • Damn fuel pump!

I put in a new Walbro 255lph pump on the Buick just a month or two ago. Today...... the pump quit. Of course I just filled the tank to the top last night. I HATE pulling tanks.

I'm about to install a 255 Walbro in my S10 and am a little leary based on some threads I've seen about lack of longevity.

Mine's a bit easier. I just pull the bed off.

I know...... I ignored some of the stories about premature failure. What the hell is up with Walbro? They used to be a good pump, now I see and hear crap.

Dropped the tank and turns out the pump is fine. The wiring harness on the hanger assembly had a bad connector, swapped that out and it works. Just a PITA labor wise to fix a .25¢ part.

On my 4th walbro in 5 years.

They're over rated and IMO are not a very good pump. I don't know a better alternative though.

I was not aware they made a 255 pump.

I had good experiences wit Master on my last car but not sure if they sell a 255.
