Illegal street race in Russia......... take note of what can happen in an uncontrolled environment. On a drag strip you have concrete retaining walls, no side streets, EMTs standing by, etc.

Yes you are exactly right. Notice they had the green light, so even though they tried to "control" the situation, you just never know whats going to happen. NOT worth it.

I've been in countries where a red light doesn't really mean much. You might slow down a bit but that's about it.

In the Dominican Republic some places are bad enough where women need not stop for a redlight at night due to the crime. Some places just don't have a real developed traffic system too.
