  • My Audi A4 Jerks Between First and Second Gear: Is It Normal?

I have been driving my Audi A4 for about two years now, it is a 2016 model with around 118,000 km on it, and lately something has been bugging me that I cannot stop thinking about. When I pull away from a red light in the morning, the car sometimes gives a small shake or a kind of push when it changes from first to second gear. It does not happen every day, mostly when the engine is still cold, and after ten minutes of driving it feels almost normal again. My friend Adil says all dual clutch gearboxes feel a bit rough in slow traffic and that I should not worry. My cousin, who used to work at a garage, says that kind of jerk is usually the first sign of a bigger problem and that ignoring it is how people end up with a very big bill. I honestly do not know who to believe. The dealer service history shows the gearbox oil was changed once, but I do not remember when, and I never asked if it was the right type. I started reading about it online and noticed a few people mentioning a Trusted Audi Transmission Repair when they talk about checking the gearbox before it gets worse, so now I am wondering what a proper check even looks like. Do they plug in a computer and read codes, or do they take a real test drive? And can the problem be something small like software or oil, or is it always expensive? Another thing I am curious about is the warning signs. Is a slight delay when I press the pedal also part of it, or is that something different? I also feel a tiny vibration when I stop in traffic with the foot on the brake, and I am not sure if that is related. If you own an Audi or a similar car and had a similar feeling, please tell me what it turned out to be, how long it took to fix, and whether it came back later. I would rather hear real stories than guess alone.
