  • WTB: Wheels for 86 TransAm

Anyone out there, possibly in upstate NY that has some used 16" wheels for an 86 TransAm, fairly cheap? Maybe I can push my luck and ask if you have the tires - 245 50 16 as well? Trying to get my car back on the road with spring coming soon. Thanks!

Might be interested in the wheels - do you have any pix? Bummer about the distance - that was why I was hoping to find someone at least fairly local. I'm sure it's not cheap to ship them. Great price - why don't you live closer to me?

Those would be fine. I'm basically looking for an inexpensive set just to get me back on the road.

I think I can fit anything from 84 to 91, without adapters or anything. Could someone confirm this, or where can I look it up?

How much would you want for them? Also, do you have any pix of them?

                Thanks...

They will fit, its just that they aren't quite like the first pictureed wheel, they are deep dished like the GTA style but have the pattern of the first wheel. PM me iff you want.

Those look good, but I was hoping for 16" wheels. Thanks for the links - I almost bought the previous set, but then they started to bid upwards past my budget. I'll keep looking!

ya i that's the most popular 3 gen rim style. i got a set optional 86 firebird 15" rims for $40 for all four, one center cap was missing. im till i need new tires to put them on. good luck.
and if u get center caps MAKE SURE THE RIGHT KIND! i got a full set for a price that seemed too good to be true...and it was. they r for turbo sytle trans am rims. MY ORIGINAL RIMS! but my rims were replaced with generic rims before i bought my t/a. the center caps only differ in size! turbo style is half the height of the regular. wish i knew that a few months ago!
